The eldest daughter, Zoë, her husband, Carl and
their son Victor Antonio aged 8 months.
It was great to get out to Hong Kong in October to see them even
if it was only for a week. I went back in early December but again only for a
week to help out
whilst Carl was on a trip to Bangkok. We all had a great Xmas when they came
over to the UK.

- G4CJC@GB7TUT The RSGB is quite a
good place to start looking for amateur radio stuff. GB7TUT is my local packet
BBS run by Richard G4TUT. Unfortunately his BBS will be off air owing to
laziness on his part, can't find any kit. He is however now running a Telnet site (84.92.92.3:6300) with
my local node ENF1 on 144.850MHz rf. Also try Southgate
ARC where Richard has designed the web pages and I contribute a 10 metre
band report "Tony's Ten".
- I have a
Kenwood 430s (100W ssb), MFJ 948 tuner, 25W German
VHF fm jobby, 15 W SMC UHF fm thingy, two dual band co-linears and a Carolina
Windom for HF. Also have a Kenwood TH-F7E dual band handie (nice) though I
modded it so the E doesn't apply.

I visited my son in Sydney during the summer of 2003. We went again
during Easter 2005. And we were there Easter 2007. We went to the Aussie
Stadium for a Sydney Warratahs game and a meal. Great food and the Warratahs
won their first game.

I'd have loved to have gone for the
Sydney Ashes Test but couldn't get tickets. James did managed to get himself a
spot in the firm's
corporate box.
- I got the call sign VK2IBX which I shall keep.
- Sydney, a great city, superb food, wonderful
views, ginormous spiders and wombats!!

Look at this colossal pine cone. No
it is not a pineapple!! Its from a Bunya Tree. Very spiky and dangerous!! How
did James manage to catch that one? He did manage to catch a new girlfriend,
just hope he can keep this one she's a cracker.
- We also visited VK5KJ ex GW4BCB in Mount Gambier.
Here's Kev and a couple of his amazing collection of valves. Kev is now in
Brisbane as VK4UH.

The
Web Cam on the bridge in Sydney Harbour is
back off line again for
renovations, so they say. We had another great time in OZ this Easter. Didn't
take many photos, too busy enjoying ourselves. Unfortunately we didn't get to
see Kev (above) and Judy. We will next time as Ev will be retired and we can
go out of school term and for longer.

- The Bar Restaurante La Almazara in Cortijo Grande near Turre, Almeria in southern Spain is a super
place for a meal, a drink and a chat. It is next to the golf course and
opens early on Sunday morning for those crazy guys who need to get out there. Open till late every day except

Los Limoneros in the Cortijo is also
pretty good for food. They also have a swimming pool but it's always got kids
and their ignorant parents around it. However they are open every day!
